The Journey to Meeting You Here…
When I was a youngster, my father – a self taught goldsmith and jeweler – asked me if I would be interested in learning how to do jewelry repairs.
At the age of 10, I would go in to the workshop on Saturdays and practice the basic repairs that he taught me. I would also ‘help’ with customers who mostly would just ask me if my dad was there lol.
After a few years, I had developed such a skill level that I started working on actual customer jewelry.
It must have been nerve wracking for some clients to watch me initially. I was, after all, 14-15 years old with a mullet hairdo walking away with their prized family heirlooms. Little by little, I was blessed to earn their trust. Many of these people became lifelong clients and some became good friends as well.
Over the next 10 years, and with diligent practice, my craft evolved to my true love which working on and producing fine quality engagement ring designs.
